Why i decided to sttudy odontology?

Hey guys

Today i want to tell you about my decision about studying odontology in the university of Chile.

Well, at first, like practically everyone i wanted to study medicine, but no because i love medicine or something like that, it was only because i love science and i had the best grades on the school, so all my teachers, schoolmates and family told me that i have to study medicine, and after everyone told me that, i belived it.

More older i started to think, what i really like.. Medicine? veterinary? teacher? and i noticed that if i study medicine i can decide what i can do for the rest of my life in that seven years of career, before to study the speciality, that i suppose will be my real pasion.

Before to do the PSU i had a personal problem and i decided to take a year off, to think and realize what i wanted to do, so i didn't go to preu and i took it without much preparation.

HOWEVER i received the test score, and i realized that i didn't do a bad test, so i can study everything that i want, but at this point i was so stressed. So studying medicine wasn't an option for me (because it's a enslaving carrer and work) and then i considered the option of odontology (which i thought was not enslaving ... my mistake) where i found a career that blends science, work with people and crafts, things that i really like, so instead of taking a year off i decided to study odontology.... And here i am right now.

    In odontology you also have six years to be able to decide which specialty to study as in medicine only you are one year less

      Yes, but have you seen the number of specialties that the medicine has? They are over fifty, while dentistry has many less! I hope that a specialty of dentistry please me, to stay here!

Hi guys! This is my first post so i want you know me a little. I was born in La serena, on 9th of september 1998. When i born, my dad wasn't in the hospital because my birth was so long and surprising, and when i come back to my grandparents house i do it in micro, i know so glamorous.                                                             After a month i went to El Salvador, practically my second home, where i lived for more than 8 years.
